Rory continues to wander, although very determined to write her novel. (Don’t worry — it’s not Paul, her new boyfriend who we see once.). But that’s not it either! Oh, Jess Mariano. Not great. MAJOR GILMORE GIRLS REVIVAL SPOILERS AHEAD. Why is Logan here? In case you missed the Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life trailer, check out our reaction to it here. Graham. Wow, wouldn’t that be a twist no one saw coming?! Yet that's not to say that Jess wasn't her soulmate, because once he left Stars Hollow and got some space, Jess matured into someone Rory could actually love. Yet mention one aspect of the series to a group of fans, and you're bound to get a dozen very different, very heated responses: the topic of Rory Gilmore's boyfriends. Dean … He could be thoughtful and caring, but he was also incapable of having a healthy relationship. Rory needed someone who challenged and excited her, and Dean, with his high school diploma and construction job, was not that person.

SERIOUSLY, DON'T KEEP READING IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW. It’s something that every person has to decide for him or herself.

Rory and Logan had a friends-with-benefits relationship through the revival, even though she had a boyfriend and he was engaged. He published a book, found a job he enjoyed, and gained enough wisdom and clarity to knock sense into Rory when she was ruining her life living at Emily and Richard's.
Ha. These are people from different worlds, and the bridge just doesn’t quite span far enough across for it to work between them. Rory and Dean saw each other in Doose’s Market, and he has a mess of kids and a wife and lives in Scranton. Sure, he was her first boyfriend, her first love, and her first roll in the hay, but by the end of their second attempt at a relationship, it was pretty clear they weren’t going to continue any further. Should someone new play the role of Rory’s better half, they’re going to have a lot of catching up to do, so good luck to them! Rory started the show dating Dean. Meanwhile, Rory runs into Dean (Jared Padalecki) and Jess (Milo Ventigmilia) as well, both on more apparently friendly terms.

Jess, though? Graham, Rory's date, took her to a sports bar where he proceeded to get drunk with his obnoxious friends and barely acknowledged her existence. As a kid growing up admiring Hilary Clinton, this is the kind of feminism Rory could be on board for. Trevor sat at the same side of the table as Rory on their date.

I’m Team Logan. And to think he took her to a Quentin Tarantino party! Unfortunately, when she did, he said no, and later, she thought he was spreading rumors about her and making fun of her to all his friends. The bad boy punk rock New Yorker with the ever-present chip on his shoulder, oh how we wish Rory would drop that whole nice-y nice innocent thing and run away with you.

By the end of the series, I mostly just pitied him; Rory had outgrown him, and as viewers, so had we. But I have many friends that are Team Jess, and even one or two that are Team Dean (though I don’t know why), and we manage to live happy, healthy lives together. Sigh.

So, can we disregard Logan’s importance altogether? They had a nice moment, but Dean and Rory are not getting together. It was a short-lived romance, but not an uneventful one.

Although, Kirk has had every other job in Stars Hollow, why couldn’t he be Rory’s love interest?

Unlike Jess, however, whose rebellious behavior took the forms on skipping school and leaving home, Tristan's came out in insults and mean nicknames.

Well, this is where things get complicated. It's not like anyone thought an Emily-arranged blind date would go well, but no one, especially Rory, imagined it would be quite that bad. He was sweet, caring, and attentive, the "perfect first boyfriend," as Lorelai said, for Rory. Not cool.

It’s possible he has merely impregnated her – and what gorgeous babies they would be too – but it seems somewhat unlikely. Rory and Logan had a friends-with-benefits relationship through the revival, even though she had a boyfriend and he was engaged. But season seven was made sans Amy Sherman-Palladino, who has never been all that happy with the way the show finished.
By the end of season seven, Rory had made a fairly solid decision to follow her dreams and not be some rich dude’s arm candy. All rights reserved.

Only kidding! Sean and Rory's relationship started with him walking by shirtless and ended with him trying to initiate a three-way with her and Paris. In the years that passed, Rory has focused on her passion and has not allowed relationships to get in her way. Of all the characters in Gilmore Girls, what Jess has been up to in the interim seems the most interesting. And what of Dean and Jess? He (or she?) Unless things dramatically change in Rory’s life for season eight, we’re going to bet on Jess not being her other half. Jess gave Rory a lovely pep talk or seven over the course of the revival, and there was definitely a look that said, “I’m not over her” as he gazed at Rory longingly through a window. Given the cast list of those returning, his is the name that stands out more than any of the others. There could be a Yale reunion, or he could decide he still has feelings for Rory and Facebook-stalks/tracks her down, but there’s little reason for him to be returning if not to vie for Rory’s affection. Oh, and the unborn child she has growing inside of her. Jess + Rory forever. Mad Men stars Vincent Kartheiser, who plays Pete Campbell, and Alexis Bledel, who played Rory Gilmore, married in a secret ceremony in June, it has emerged. Rory and her mother have a falling out when Rory tells Lorelai about the book, as Lorelai does not want her life written about. "), Rory decided to be bold and ask a guy out herself. Rory nabbed a job working on his campaign bus. Some people vote for Logan, whose proposal she rejected near the series' end; others believe that Jess was the best and only choice; a few even think that none of Rory's boyfriends were all that great, and that instead, she should've gone for the friend-zoned Marty or stayed single forever. As always, we suspect he’ll be causing some serious trouble for Rory, that candle most likely still burning for our small-town smarty-pants goody-goody, but he and Rory as an item doesn’t seem realistically possible. Look, Dean was a nice guy. After Jess and Rory broke up, Dean popped in for a millisecond (long enough for Rory for drop her v-card), but it wasn’t long before Logan came into her life and stayed there through nearly the end of Season 7. Yep, that’s right — Rory Gilmore is pregnant, presumably with Logan’s baby from their last tryst. Sure, he was cute, and they both liked books and take-out Chinese, but Rory in college needed a guy who was more willing to take a risk — someone who, well, did things like the Life and Death Brigade. 2020 Bustle Digital Group.
